Housing Update

Amy and I went and looked at houses today.  Our house has not sold, but SUPPOSEDLY there is a family who wants to write a contract.  Our house is off the market because time is running out on if we can get into a house quick enough for the December 5th deadline.

We looked at 4 good houses, we just have to weigh the pros and cons of what is going to work the best.  Interestingly enough, one of the houses is in our neighborhood!!!!

So basically I have no news except all is well down here in North Cakalacky.

An Engagement!!!!!

The ring and it is gorgeous!

Carolyn says that they have not yet set a date, and she is going to wait until after she gets her next location assigned to set a date.  She says hopefully she will find out in December.

So we can all read Bride's magazines and get ready for what we plan to wear!  

I am now off to the grocery to have stuff on hand in case Hurricane Irma causes problems here in North Cakalacky.

Jane and the Girls

Jane and her roommate, Margaret and their friend, Nicole were coming to our house to spend the weekend and do their laundry.  Since we had torrential rain on Friday at rush hour, I texted Jane and asked her to stay off the road on Friday and drive over on Saturday.  Luckily she agreed with me because they got the same torrential rain.

We cleaned the house, got the beds ready.........the girls got a late start then texted that they were going to the mall.  They made it here about 4:30 and only Jane brought her laundry because they felt they were over reaching.  And they had decided not to spend the night. We told them they were always welcome.

Jane started her laundry and I took them to Elmo's ~ Amy had a barn party.

They were all delightful and they loved the dogs. Margaret had to do face time to show her identical twin Bennett.

We get home and they left at 8 pm.  A whirlwind visit!
