End of June

Here we go into July and it is hot.  And dry.  But that is the norm for summer.  On the plus side, the tomatoes are huge and we have lots of green tomatoes!!!!

And, the caterpillers have found the parsley that I planted for them!!!!! I looked them up and they will grow to be Black Swallowtail butterflies.

I am going to have to plant more parsley.

Our neighbor, Rhonda, made us the most delicious cake.  Just for being good neighbors.

It is so good, Jane wondered if she would do more baked goods ~ and Rhonda is thrilled.  But it only lasted a week.

No one licked the plate, they wanted to.  Which reminded me of Dad.  But, as you can see, there is not much left at all.

Jane is on her trip with Tony.  They started in Seattle and are driving back to Novato, stopping in all the little minor league ball parks they can.  They did see the Mariners in Seattle as their start.  I hope we can all go to Cooperstown one day.  What do you think?

Hope everyone has a fabulous and safe 4th of July!!

Love,
Leslie

Just Hello

It is incredibly quiet in the house.  Amy is at the barn with the dogs and India and Jane have moved into their apartment for the summer.  The dining room is empty and quite honestly, looks empty and a little sad.

I am on my way to pick up a prescription for Nana and then hopefully a quiet dinner.

My garden has gone wild with all the rain we had last week!

First Black Cherry tomatoes

Very first  yellow cherry tomato
I rescued this guy from Nana's screened porch and brought him over to my garden.  I hope he likes it.
Gypsy apparently likes to get into the raised bed, but of course, she denies it.

Much love,
Leslie
