12 Days Until Spring

We have had a cold wet winter.  In fact, it is close to the wettest ever.  Not much snow, just the miserable rain.  But.....things are budding out.

But first Valentine's Day~

Thomas

Valentine's Day was a miserable 33 degrees and rain/sleet/ice but Amy and I had Shari's Berries for Jane and her friends AND the Maine Cousins Lobster truck was going to be in Mebane so......ROAD TRIP!  Texted Jane and  asked if she could drive to Mebane (bring her roomies) and we would give them lunch and Valentines.  Jane said Yes, and texted me their food requests.

Amy couldn't go, so my neighbor Rhonda and I masked up and drove carefully to Mebane.  NO one was really out and about.  It was all outside, so we felt reasonably safe.

Ordered the girls food, and by the time the order was handed to me, here comes Jane and Nicole:

Gave them their food and chocolate berries, Happy Valentine's, and left.  It really was a drive by Valentine's Day.  What did we all get?  Well, Jane and I got tater tots, Nicole got smothered tater tots.  Rhonda got a Maine Lobster roll and Amy got clam chowder and a Maine Lobster roll.  Oh yes, and I got Amy and I whoopie pies.  Delicious and actually a fun Valentine's Day.

Even with no hugging and a safe 6 feet apart, just going out felt like the greatest escape!!!!!

Nancy must have Spring Fever because she had made some really fabulous changes at her house!

The new Sun Room

I love this rug and Nancy says it is machine washable!  She also put up a wallpaper on one wall in her exercise room ~ full blown flowers ~ gorgeous!  I can't share the photo because my computer doesn't recognize the .heic. But it is amazing.

Our neighbor, Rhonda, bought a play station for her granddaughter, Elliott.

Amy had to see if it was safe.

And, in closing, a little bit of Spring:

Much love,

Leslie
