Hello 2022

First off, I would like to thank Nancy who texted me to let me know that she had just read the two posts that I just published today.  Honestly, December flew by!!!!!!!! I am so behind but really, what do I have to say?  Still in pandemic mode, still really annoyed at all the athletes and people who feel they don't need the vaccine or booster and won't wear a mask.  I am astonished at all the people who attend all the football games unmasked!  Oh well, Dawinism may win out.

Anyhoo......again, Happy New Year!

I have decided to try and take Fridays off from work ~ I know, where is my work ethic?  It is telling me that the 3 day weekend is really the way to go.  So......let's try it.

Here in North Cackalacky winter finally arrived!  It was a coolish fall with some really cold days.  Then it was 80 degrees on a Sunday and pouring then a major winter storm blew thru on Monday.  Lots of snow and ice.

May not look like much, but it is now all ice

Today, we are waiting for another winter storm.  It is 27 degrees and my weather model, the American model, says it is going to start snowing at 6pm.  It was supposed to start at 1pm and all the schools closed.  Sorry.  Amy only believes in the European model and laughs at the American model.  Maybe the Europeans would have told all the kids to go to school.

I THOUGHT I would take down Christmas and get it all put away.  There is a chance that might happen.........however.  Why doesn't it all go into the boxes it all came out of?  Why does it seem like it all blew up?

Penelope is all ready for the storm

This is why we cannot have glass ornaments on the tree or evidently
the birds that are clipped on.  The Destroyer at work.

Amy is teaching her class via Zoom (remember the schools closed because of the bad weather we are not having now until 6pm maybe....) and she told me to get the dogs if they barked.  Well they barked.  I called them.  No they do not come to me.  Then I got treats and Loki bit me!!! So, I got the leashes and now have them tied up in my room.

And here they will sit until Amy is done.  I hope they like Tony Kornheiser's podcast because that is what we are going to listen to.

WOW!  3 posts in one day!!!!!!

Love,

Leslie

Merry Christmas 2021

Happy Holidays everyone!  I have decided to get our neighbor's yard art in the holiday spirit.  Which delighted alot of the neighborhood kids and the owners.

Penelope the Pig

And let us not forget the Army - Navy football game.  Jim gave us the banner his bailif gave him and we hung it proudly!  And Navy wins!!!!!!!!

A Quick Catch Up.....

I have been either very busy or very lazy........anyway most of these photos have already been seen thanks to the miracle of the iphone.  But, c'est la vie!

I found this photo because Carolyn deployed to Djibouti, Africa and was on the same plane as Chris Horak.  Here is Chris with Carolyn and David Whitehead from a Navy tailgater in 1990.

Roll forward 31 years and here is the remake of the photo......in Djibouti!

Amy had some time on her hands

At the farmers market, an ominous presence

Thomas was a live wire ~ not quite walking but boy could he crawl!!!!! And dance on his knees!
