Amy Made it Home

Amy made it home and said she had a spectacular time!!! And, of course, her dogs were very glad to see her!

I think she looks like a combo of Carole and Mom

She told her job that she doesn't come back to the US until Thursday ~ so she can rest up.

More Royal Treatment

Amy is having a momental time at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.  And yes, she saw Royalty:

The Duke of Edinborough

Stalking from afar.

Amy said this zebra was 45000 pounds ~ I thought weight?  Then saw it is covered in crystals ~ $95000.00 dollars!!!!! Wow!!!!

And from the home front, Rhonda and I took Amy's truck for our first road trip.  First we went to the gas station to put gas in it .......because there was very little in it!!!!!!!! Rhonda had never seen $100.00 on the pump before.  Then we loaded the back end with wooden pallets, an old rug of Rhonda's that looked like we had rolled a body up in it and old paint and off to the  Walnut Grove Waste Management site.  Our first trip there and it is way closer to home!!!! The  guys helped us out and we feel very powerful!!!!!! That truck is huge!!!!!!

Got home in time to meet the Fed Ex delivery of my new outdoor rugs and give the driver a coke and snacks.  Love the circular rug!!!

The stones get too hot for the pups feet!

And news, Val is moving to Brooklyn, NY.  He has friends from NYU who are down a roomie, so he is moving and looking for work!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!

Much love,

Leslie

I am guessing this is the walkway behind the houses  ~ Gorgeous!

Amy wrote: "Morning from our kitchen.  The weather is perfect and breakfast was fresh warm brown bread and strawberry jam from the local market bought this morning."

Windsor Castle and the Horse Guards

Time to Start Planting!

Today was the first sunny and nice Saturday in about 9 weeks.  We have lovely week days and turrible weekends ~ but today was lovely!!!  I worked at the Farmer's Market and came home and worked in the back beds.

In the raised bed is a big group of Black Eyed Susans, coneflowers and rosemary.  I put in mint (in its own pot), dill, and some lavender.

Look how big Jane's tree is getting!!

In these pots I have black eyed Susans coming up.

So I will see how it all goes into the summer ~ but at least it is a start!

Amy have a lovely birthday with all her favorite places represented:  Dover, TJ MAXX and Chipolte.

The Happy Birthday was a crown to wear.  It is on one of her new hats for her London trip.  The crown will stay home but the hats are adorable.

Hope everyone's May is going well!

Much love,

Leslie
