This To Shall Pass

I don't think I have quoted the Bible in my blog yet.  This might be a first.........

I took Amy to her appointment today, she had a surgical procedure on her back - Amy said that even though it hurt, the doctor thought the damage looked almost the same as the last time, so she was pleased.

We had a long chat about Mom and stress.  I laughed at Amy because she stresses about Mom and the pain in her back and I have no stress about Mom being the pain in my back, or butt as the case may be.  Until...........

I had my Victim Impact Panel tonight so I made Mom pasta with Alfredo sauce and left it in the refrigerator.  No worries.  I got home and found Mom in the kitchen with the vacuum cleaner, the swifter and the dustpan.  The dogs were milling around.

Mom had dropped a glass, but she told me she had "gotten it all cleaned up".  Nope.  There was glass all over the floor.  My only remark was that from now on, maybe Mom should use plastic instead of glass.  My resident diva was not happy with that, her nose went up and she went to the library and said "Just bring me my drink".

I cleaned it up and took her the drink (in plastic) and she said "where is the worse nursing home?"  Diva, diva, diva.
I told her she didn't need a nursing home and that no matter where she was, it wasn't a good idea to be nasty or mean to the care giver.

I think we ended on good terms.  I think.  But as I said to Lori, we can handle anything.  And that no matter what, we would make it, get through it, work it out, and be alright in the end.

Much Love,
Leslie
