House Saga Continues

The house we have a contract on had a very not good inspection.  There are some issues that need to be fixed, including a water issue with the foundation.  The crawl space guy said that french drains need to be dug in the crawlspace (which is small) to move the water away from the wet foundation.  Now bear in mind, it has been a dry summer.  We think the drains that lead away from the house are clogged and that the water has no place to go from a year of sitting empty. Our realtor thinks this could be a money pit.

We had our house inspected yesterday that went from 2 to 5.  They were still there at 5:30 when I went home.  Amy was there because they had called her because they could not work the downstairs thermostat.

We saw that they had 3 little kids with them that skeeved the germaphobe out so she had to immediately wipe stuff down.  I didn't think anything about it until I went upstairs and saw that the kids must have had a free for all in my room.  Boxes open, books taken off the shelf and put around, things on my desk moved around ~ I was not happy.  And they left one of our back gates open.  Still not happy.

So we wait and see what our inspection says.  And we are going to see 3 properties today.  A house we liked in Burlington, a property in Graham that comes with 14 acres and a townhouse.  Or, everything will fall apart and we will stay in this house.

On the good side, we get Jane for her fall break that starts today!!!!!!!

Love, Leslie
