4th of July

We decided to cook out at our house ~ but Jim did ALL of the cooking!!!!! I provided antipasto and salad.  Hamburgers, chicken, tofu hot dog ~ all the great summer food.  It was delicious.

Then, we were off to see the fireworks, but in air conditioned splendor!  We met up with Gwen and Jeffrey Russell, Woody and Lisa Van (all old friends of Jim's and Lori's.)  We drove to the Durham County courthouse - not to park in the parking lot, but Jim used his security card and we all parked in a secure bunker, used by the judges!  

We rode up the elevator to Jim's courtroom, all brand new, with a wall of windows that looked over the Durham Bull's ballpark.

It was a lot of fun and great seeing old friends.  Woody and Jeffrey had come to Lori's wedding, Woody was a groomsman, and the general consensous was that "none of us were welcome to come back to the Holiday Inn in Statesboro and that it probably wasn't a good idea to try and put a catamaran in the Hoiday Inn swimming pool".  But it was fun!!!!!!!!
