It is the 4th of July Weekend. What to do? It looks like we are socked in for rain - the first rainy weekend! We are up in the air, cook out tomorrow and then go see the fireworks or just go see the fireworks and then cook out on Sunday. Or maybe both!
When I say go and watch fireworks ~ not outside, we can watch them in airconditioned splendour in Jim's office at the courthouse. I wonder how different the fireworks will feel when one is not half baked and sweaty?
Amy and I are going to watch the Giants and the Nationals tonight on ESPN ~ I haven't seen the Nationals all summer, except for the last inning of Max Scherzer's no hitter, almost perfect game that would have been perfect except for that fool Pittsburg Pirate that LEANED IN and got hit. So it will be quite nice to see them against the Giants - Amy is cheering for the Nats, I cheer for both.
Rumor has it that Jesse is in San Antonio and got to have dinner with Carolyn and Chris. Do you all remember when all of us visited Lori in Macon - each of us on a different weekend to meet Jim? Do we need to drop in one weekend at a time in San Antonio?
I have the itch to start looking for a job...I guess it is true that one does get tired of being on vacation!
