The first offer was low ball - $490,000. The first offerers had thought that we had recent water in the basement because the Serve Pro company was coming to clean the basement.
Amy told them we haven't had water in years, since the Cimminelli's had corrected the drainage. The people also wanted to know who our flood insurance was with and if we had ever made a claim against it. (USAA and no claims.) So, Amy believes the first offer will be adjusted.
Also, she says that there are 3 more coming! What a nice way to start the week.
It would be great if it went quickly and Amy could get settled here. Of course that means I better light a fire under me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We all went to Nana's house last night for dinner. Delicious. She had ribs, corn pudding, Asian cole slaw, sweet potato casserole and Lori made her signature chocolate peanut butter cake. Oh my!
Jesse drove us home and says that he will come over for dinner this week. Maren is on Spring break and that she will be coming over. I like family in and out.
I took the dogs out and the sun was so warm! The snow is melting and it feels like the end of winter. I know that when that happens, Mother Nature likes to reinforce that she knows best. The message: don't put away the fleece, jackets, and water proof shoes.
That is all I know at the moment.
UPDATE:
Amy is again out of the house for lookers. A second offer came in of $530,000 - but they want $5000.00 in closing costs.
Love,
Leslie
