I worked on boxes again - it will be an endless repetition until I am done - which seems feasible, now that the living room is almost a living room and the keeping room is almost a room. I have moved sofas, chair and lamps all around and switched things around. So, here is a look:

This is the living room. The big red mirror will go over the sofa. |

Living room towards porch. |

The shameless Melanie (I think that is her favorite pose. Those lamps won't stay ~ but I wanted to get some lamps out. |

The keeping room. I think my new Duke homage will go over this sofa. |

Bennett and the keeping room. I had the red leather chair and ottman where the plaid chair is ~ but the red leather chair looks better in the living room, so I moved it. |
I also cost us the first buyers. When Amy wanted to know what the flood insurance was, I found a document from NFCU that said the premium was $2500.00. Mom said that she thought it was much less than that ~ but since we had documentation, we went with that.
Today, Amy called because she found something that said it was $500.00. I called USAA, and had to have Mom confirm that I could talk to USAA and found out that the flood insurance is $537.00 per year. Drat. So, USAA faxed Amy the documentation and if the second buyers fall through, then maybe the first ones will return.
Amy is suffering through the 7 inches of snow. She shoveled the deck and paths for Buffy, and her knee is really hurting. Her ortho called a friend at Duke to find a "good" surgeon to fix her torn ACL and both torn meniscus ligaments. Her lament is that she will be on crutches for 6 weeks!
So, I have called two people to see if they can shovel Amy out. My first friend got the last flight out yesterday for Las Vegas - 9 guys and they left all the wives, at home!!!! That is so wrong! And my second call went to an answering machine. Oh well. *****The Baird family came through and shoveled the driveway!!!!!! Amy paid them $100.00 and I just sent an edible arrangement.
Maren just called and she is on her way over. And spring training has started. And daylight savings time (Spring Ahead) is this weekend. So no matter what, spring is coming.
Tonight is the Duke-Carolina basketball game. I am ready for March Madness. And, in a salute to baseball, I ordered my new baseball t-shirt: Baumgardner for the Giants.
Play ball!
Love,
Leslie
The house looks FANTASTIC!
